Intestinal resection specimen. Total colectomy, partial resection of the small intestine (50 cm), and monotreme colostomy were performed on day 88 after admission. The resected specimen shows whole circumferential mucosal desquamation of the sigmoid to descending colon and scattered mucosal dissection of the transverse to ascending colon.
