Oncogenesis of EBV-associated FDCS. Type 1 EBV initially infects human B lymphocytes and converts into the latency type. Then, it moves and infects the FDCs. EBER or LMP-1 protein released from the EBV to FDCs causes inhibition of cell apoptosis and proliferation of FDCs by amplification of the CD40 signaling pathways.
